Established in 2020 as a way to support small independent local businesses and creatives as well as my elopers, The Elopement Society is a secret collaboration.

Made to help romantic renegades to plan and design their perfect elopement or small-scale wedding in and around Edinburgh and along our beautiful East Coast.

I help couples to design their celebration days by sharing my local knowledge and over a decade of wedding photography experience. Whether it’s the classic gothic city centre spots, secluded gardens, country woodlands, castle ruins, beautiful beaches, victorian harbour towns or a great wee bookstore, we’ll build a day that helps to tell your story.

I can hook you up with all the suppliers you need and help to figure out the timeline for the day as well as provide my photography.

A bride and a young boy, possibly her son, sharing a kiss in front of two large, weathered stone columns under a cloudy sky.

Edinburgh City Elopement Packages

From bookstores to secret gardens, open green spaces to quiet opulence, Edinburgh is blessed with insanely beautiful architecture flanked by both country and coast.

A double exposure photo of a wedding couple standing on a rocky beach, with the man in a green jacket holding a bouquet and the woman in a white dress with flowers in her hair, against a blue sky and ocean background.

Scottish Coastal Elopement Packages

The perfect place for romantic runaways, East Lothian is the most idyllic location for coastal, harbour town, castle ruin or woodland wedding seekers. And we know the best spots.

the first rule of

the elopement society?

F*ck the rules.

We’re the wedding industry renegades. The Tastemakers. The ideas folks.

We’re here to shake up the industry and question some of the traditions and messages, in our wee way.

We’re for the couples who want to get wed their own way. We’re here to turn your celebration day into a great date. We’re here to create celebration days which have you feeling like a local, a home from home to return to whenever you wish.

The laws on marriage are different in Scotland to other parts of the UK. Here a licensed celebrant can legally marry you pretty much anywhere at any time of the day.

Our aim is to guide you to the best independent local small businesses, brands and creatives who all have strong sustainability policy and integrity, quality, personality and equality at their hearts.

We want the process to be part of the fun, for you to enjoy the doing of things instead of getting lost in the internet ether with no idea aside from tiktoks of what to expect or where actually is good.

We’re proud to be part of the REBEL LOVE DIRECTORY JUNEBUG WEDDINGS and LOVE MY DRESS DIRECTORY plus SCOTTISH WEDDING UNCONVENTION DIRECTORY
