Edinburgh Wedding & Elopement Photography Portfolio

As an Edinburgh wedding and elopement photographer specialising in documentary, editorial and analogue film photography, this portfolio brings together a selection of weddings and elopements photographed across Edinburgh and Scotland.

From intimate city ceremonies and creative elopements to relaxed countryside gatherings and coastal celebrations, my approach is always rooted in atmosphere, connection and real moments. I photograph what unfolds naturally (the laughter between new drunk pals, the quiet in-between glances, the joyful chaos of the dance floor…)without interrupting the flow of your day.

I work with both 35mm (and medium format) film and digital photography. Film adds softness, depth and a timeless quality that suits emotional storytelling, while digital allows flexibility in fast-moving moments. Together they create imagery that feels artistic, authentic and full of life.

Many of the couples featured here describe themselves as creative, independent or camera shy, mostly the latter. My role is never to stage perfection, but to help you feel relaxed enough to simply be present. That’s where the strongest photographs happen.

You’ll see weddings and elopements in Edinburgh’s historic streets, hidden gardens, independent venues and coastal landscapes, as well as celebrations across Scotland and beyond. Each one is different, because each couple is.

If you’re looking for an Edinburgh wedding or elopement photographer who blends documentary storytelling with editorial composition and analogue photography, this gallery offers a wee glimpse into how your day might be remembered with honestly, joyfully and with care.

I’m a big lover of small-scale, intimate weddings and unique celebrations. As an Edinburgh elopement photographer, I’m drawn to days that feel personal and intentional, whether that’s a handful of guests in a hidden garden, a creative city ceremony followed by dinner at an independent restaurant, trip to your favourite pub with your pals, or a windswept coastal gathering in Scotland. Smaller weddings often allow more space for connection, spontaneity and atmosphere, which naturally suits my documentary and film-led approach. These celebrations may be quieter in scale, but they are always rich in feeling, character and story. Couples are increasingly arranging a super small ceremony day, followed by a bigger party (whether the same day or a few weeks/months later) and I’m here for these as they always feel special, often like taking your nearest and dearest on a date around some of your favourite spaces.
