Wedding : Nicola & Anish,Timberyard

On a super sunny day last summer Anish (you probably know him, literally knew every second person we walked past) and beautiful Nicola married under a silver birch tree at Timberyard in Edinburgh. It was one of those ones you need a wee lie down the next day to process cos you get a wee bit overwhelmed by all the good chill vibes. The kind of wedding I edit while watching Goodfellas or Scarface to bring a bit of yang to the yin…

Anyways, Andrea (Soulful Celebrant) of Agnostic Scotland was the celebrant and she made a beautiful ceremony for them. A candle flickered the whole way through for Nicola’s mum.

You sharply observant folk will already know that I have a thing for a scabby wall. I like tactile textural things. On a sunny day it’s fun to play with the light a little bit and try to make some alchemy with glass and sun.

Timberyard is bursting with beautiful tonal textural tastiness (very much not the scabby kind but just as nice). Ochre Botanicals provided the lush florals which worked a treat with all of that.

After the ceremony and meal the 3 of us took a donder through the city centre, stopping for some snaps along the way. We headed to join their guests at Le Monde for speeches before I moonwalked out to leave them to enjoy their evening.

Nicola and Anish are ace. I had so much fun working with them. It wasn’t the original plan but it was a super happy special day, feeling all warm thinking about it. Thanks folks x
