I’m genuinely overwhelmed by the amazing support I’m getting for my first proper solo exhibition. Thank you to everyone who’s engaging with it. It’s been a surreal and great experience to put my work out there.

NOW LOVE is open again tomorrow, noon to 6pm, closing on Friday so you’ve still got a few days to catch it if you’d like to. It’s at Agitate on William Street.

We had a big old 8 hour play at Away Industries and it was great. The team at Aetla had so many great ideas so we just shot all day and I loved it. Jewellery brand commission work with the team at Aetla, shot at Away Industries in Leith, featuring jewellery by Grainne Morton, Ellis Mhairi Cameron, Fraser Hamilton and more.

I snapped a few quick portraits for The Manatees while I lurked about at The Lexington in that there London on a recent trip to visit pals…

A solo photography exhibition by yours truly

I loved shooting this whisky tasting event with Woven Whisky and Ellis Mhairi Cameron at Aetla.

A brand photography commission from celebrated Edinburgh ceramicist, Jay Frazer. This is a new project, Tiera Jewellery.

Aetla kind of adopted me this summer, we worked together on several events in the store along with a brand commission and editorial shoot. I’ve loved working with their super creative wee team so here’s to more coming soon-ish.

Digital and analogue film portraits of Emily Kenway. Emily Kenway is a leading expert on modern slavery and human trafficking. As a former adviser to the UK's first Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, she was at the heart of government action on modern slavery.

Digital photography brand commission for Rowanjoy. Rowanjoy bridal is an Edinburgh based bespoke and made to measure bridal designer. From her studio in Leith, Rowan creates unique, special dresses and bridal outfits for brides who are looking for something that little bit different for their wedding day

Anyways, the exhibition is open from today for 10 days and I’ve come in all guns blazing with some scrappy little mismatched bits of chaos. I could have used some neatly framed old seascapes I’ve got at home but that felt a bit safe and boring so instead I’ve taken the title, A Closer Look, a bit too literally and I’ve got a kind of scrapbook of some of the ideas from my personal work on the website and recent adventures, chats and the like. It’s all a bit of a mess so apologies to my new neighbours for lowering the tone. They’ve all got some beautiful work for sale. And then there’s some sketchy stuff of mine you can touch and interact with like my wee dancing flipbook, some of my writing and a messy little concertina book. It’ll all no doubt fall apart before the end of the run but it’s a more honest hello to everyone at my new place and hopefully makes folks smile. Don’t judge me, I’ll put something a bit more polished into the next one, promise.
