DANCE AT THE EDGE OF CHANCE — Would you dive full throttle into chance? Into the rhythms of your body, the pull of the tide, and the invitation to play?

Join Move To Feel for a morning intuitive movement meditation on Portobello Beach, exploring rhythm, randomness, and the natural patterns that arise when we let go and follow impulse. Inspired by the theme of Portobello’s showground era, this session is a call to echo the tides, stimulate impulsivity, explore hypnotic flickers and the pulse of possibility—blurring the lines between nature and machine, play and performance, calm and chaos.

Letting your body become part of the artwork—participants will wear headsets for live audio guidance and immersive soundscape, creating a collective, embodied experience in conversation with place, memory, and movement. No dance experience needed.

This unique Move To Feel session will be led by Ailsa Lochhead and filmed/photographed by Solen Collet as part of their collaborative ARCADE commission being delivered for the 2025 Art Walk Porty Festival.

ARCADE is an Art Walk Porty curated programme developed in partnership with Nobles Amusements, funded by Creative Scotland.
