Alexia Avena is a New York based musician making really beautiful soundscapes with lopped guitar and gentle vocals. I reckon David Lynch would be as big a fan as Johnny Lynch is. Johnny being her label boss at Lost Map, of course. Watch him though, he’s wiley.
We took these on Eigg at the 2022 Howlin Fling which was a dream and I’m absolutely gutted I can’t make this year’s event to creep around with my cameras and use them as a shield for my social awkwardness. I danced with a daft grin on my face all weekend, I got to quickfire portraits with toy cameras, got to make bloody mary’s even though I don’t drink anymore and the whole thing was just the best experience.
