ART HOUSE 8

September 2024, I painted my bedroom red from floor to ceiling and turned it into a gallery installation for Art Walk Porty.

The work featured images from my Agitate gallery solo show in February along with some progressions of those pieces and a few series of other works.

The first time I had an opportunity to really have quite vulnerable conversations in real time around the work I was showing. At exhibitions, you have people you know along at the opening then you just leave the work on the walls and hope for the best! This was a uniquely personal experience - opening the doors to my flat, allowing strangers to view self portraiture and writing around difficult traumas and abuse in my bedroom - felt so very cathartic and emboldening.
